Hi all, hope you had a great start to the year and now full swing into life - work and play.
Market season for 2017 kicked off for us over the weekend at Handmade in the Hunter Markets in Pokolbin (Hunter Valley NSW). We really enjoy this unique market which showcases the work of local Hunter Valley artisans, designers and makers. As regular stall holders there, we often participate in extra weekend markets held the during busy concert season when international performers head to Hope Estate (across the road from where the markets are held at Kevin's Sobel's Wines, Pokolbin), attracting big names (such as Bruce Springstein on Saturday night) and huge crowds (25,000 people in fact on the weekend from around Australia and the globe) to see their favourite performers. Alongside Handmade in the Hunter Markets, we will also be continuing on with our monthly attendance at Avoca Beachside Markets, Avoca Beach Central Coast, as well as Olive Tree Markets in Newcastle and Maitland Regional Art Gallery (MRAG) on a semi regular basis.
Something new for us and in sync with the arrival of our gorgeous little (Sydney born) granddaughter Ruby, I will be dipping my toe into the market scene in Sydney this year as well. As I will be in Randwick on a regular and ongoing basis, we'll be taking part in the Royal Randwick Shopping Centre monthly Artisans Market. The first happening in March. We hope to see some of our Sydney clients and customers - established and new there sometime soon. It is the only indoor market in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, so is the perfect venue when the weather isn't too great outside, and where air conditioned comfort makes browsing and shopping a breeze.
