I've been very lucky to be part of a collaborative exhibition at Maitland Regional Art Gallery with ceramicist Katherine Mahoney. The project involved the creation of homeware Eco dye textile pieces to compliment Katherine's stunning ceramics. As a textile artist with a focus on natural dyes and botanical leaf imprints, it was so lovely to have the opportunity to capture and highlight the organic, tactile nature of Katherine's pieces with textiles.
On Saturday 30th April, Katherine and I enjoyed being at the gallery together for a Meet the Maker Morning Tea, organised by the amazing team at Maitland Regional Art Gallery (MRAG).. It was such a wonderful morning, meeting so many lovely people and chatting about our individual practice(s).
Exhibition Items for sale including Katherine's ceramics, my Eco dye table cloths, runners and napkins (together with a range of my eco print silk scarves and beaded necklaces) are available in the gallery gift shop.
Artist in Focus - Katherine Mahoney and our collaborative works will be on exhibition at MRAG until 22nd May.
